An exploration of trailblazing women throughout history

Etienne "Tilly" Mosse is a time traveller who visits underrepresented women across different eras to tell their story.

The four I’ve selected are Enheduanna, Artemisia Gentileschi, Zheng Yi Sao and Josephine Baker, for a variety of reasons: they spanned across different eras, countries, they were unseen or unrepresented and I could feel a personal connection to them.

This project is an exploration of costume and character design, heavily leaning into research-based, accurate portrayals with the purpose of telling a story through visual means.

Depicted are Tilly's outfits from 2265 BC Sumeria, 1629 Italy, 1807 China, 1927 France and her time-traveller one.
